It seems to me, at times, that just about any bookselling question could legitimately be answered, "It depends." It isn't just that there are so many exceptions to rules - though are there ever - it's also that it depends on who is asking the question. That person is best met where they are, I believe, not where they aspire to go to or where you think they should be, so, theoretically, every answer would necessarily be different in some respect.
