Stephen King dominated the Fiction Top 10 with 3 entries among titles by Hemingway, Fitzgerald, McCarthy, Koontz, Rand and Howard. The nonfiction list was populated by the mix of Warhol, the Bible, Jimmy Page, and Edward Lear with Picasso and George Harrison thrown in.

Tolkien held 2 places on the Antiquarian and Collectible list. The other spots were held by titles dating from 1476 to 1790.

"The book WAS published originally in a rather cheaply made oddly decorated orange-patterned cardboard slipcase," removed due to damage. It was sold in a "custom-made leather clamshell box."

Another Tolkien sale came in at #4. This time it was a 1st edition of The Hobbit with a signed bookplate. The UK seller made an interesting offer. After noting that it was not unusual for collectors to buy the 1st edition without a dust jacket, he/she asked those interested in acquiring only the dust jacket and tipped in signature for £4500 to "register interest." The book sold as a BIN for £6,750 or $10,820.93.
